About Me.
Hi, I’m Katelyn! I also go by Katy. And yes, my last name really is Perry. While I won’t be topping the music chart anytime soon, I am passionate about creating marketing and communications work that tells a great story.
I’m a marketing and communications professional with over eight years of experience helping organizations share their stories through strategic communication, creative design and meaningful audience engagement. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Media & Communications from St. John Fisher University, complemented by double minors in Visual Arts and Digital Cultures & Technology.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to develop integrated marketing campaigns, support organizational rebranding efforts, coordinate events, develop digital and print marketing materials, and manage both internal and external communications across corporate, healthcare and nonprofit organizations. I enjoy finding the balance between creativity and strategy—producing work that is not only visually engaging, but also purposeful and aligned with an organization’s goals.
Outside of work, I’ve always been drawn to creative expression. Photography, film, design and visual storytelling have been lifelong interests that continue to inspire my work today. Whether I’m capturing a moment through a camera lens, exploring thoughtful design or building a communications campaign, I’m motivated by the power of storytelling to inform, connect and inspire.
One of the tools that has helped me better understand how I approach my work is the Clifton Strengths assessment. My top strengths provide insight into the way I think, collaborate and solve problems, reinforcing my belief that successful marketing is built on curiosity, creativity, empathy and continuous learning.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I invite you to explore my portfolio to see the projects that have shaped my professional journey and if you’d like to connect, I’d love to hear from you.
